Beyerdynamic has just introduced the third generation T1 and T5 headphones. These handmade headphones from German soil feature feather-light Tesla drivers, delivering a particularly pleasant sound and have a more robust construction than its predecessor.
The slightly angled Tesla drivers provide an extremely open sound and a wide frequency response ranging from 5Hz to 50kHz. The closed-back T5 model delivers a realistic sound with a tad more bass-pressure and a wider soundstage. The ear cups of the T5 are fitted with memory foam covered with velour. Thanks to the closed-back design this T5 offers passive noise cancellation for a better listening experience. Even when you are on-the-go.
The open-back T1 model delivers a very open sound with a wide and deep soundstage. The sound experience comes close to a set of highend loudspeakers and is better suited for indoor use due to its open construction. The headphones feature ear cups with comfortable smooth leather ear cushions and the cable length is 3 meters. Compared to the previous generation, the low-end and midrange have a fraction more warmth, with which these headphones will appeal to a wider audience. The impedance has also been lowered to 32 Ohm, making this premium over-ear model much easier to drive.
