The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber offers the full range of FRITZ!Box functions directly on the fiber optic connection. Various fiber optic technologies are used in the Netherlands. The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber Edition XGS-PON comes with a suitable SFP module for XGS-PON connections.
To securely distribute the gigabit speeds wirelessly in the home, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is equipped with the standard Wi-Fi 6, a 2.5-gigabit LAN port completes the high-speed equipment.

Innovative Wi-Fi 6 for a network with many Wi-Fi end devices

The new standard Wi-Fi 6 takes into account the ever-growing number of Wi-Fi devices. From smartphones, tablets, PCs, 4K TVs and speakers to smart video cameras and doorbells, more and more devices are being used simultaneously in the Wi-Fi network. By reducing latency, Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and stable data transmission. A total bandwidth of 2,400 Mbit/s is available in the 5GHz band and 600 Mbit/s in the 2.4GHz band for many parallel applications. With these high throughputs, Wi-Fi 6 also provides technologies and mechanisms for longer battery life for the mobile devices in the network.

Strong as a hub in the Mesh Wi-Fi network

As a Mesh Master, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber ensures the best Wi-Fi quality throughout the network. Scattered Wi-Fi points (e.g. FRITZ!Box and multiple FRITZ!Repeaters) are merged into one smart Mesh Wi-Fi network. With integrated Mesh Master function, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber actively controls all other access points so that the Wi-Fi end devices used in the network are always logged on to the access point with the best connection. Mobile Wi-Fi devices automatically switch between access points without interrupting active applications.

Telephony options for everyone

The integrated VoIP phone system has a connection for an analog phone and a DECT base station for up to six cordless phones (e.g. all FRITZ!Fon models). Even IP telephones and smartphones become full-fledged phones via Wi-Fi that can be used to make calls on the fiber connection. With an integrated answering machine, local and online directories and numerous convenience functions, telephony - even for professional applications - leaves nothing to be desired. Smarthome devices, such as for example the four-fold switch FRITZ!DECT 440 or the LED lamp FRITZ!DECT 500, can be integrated via the DECT base station.
