The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber Edition International offers the full range of FRITZ!Box functions directly on the fiber optic connection for the AON and GPON connection technologies - a media converter or an upstream modem are not necessary. The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber comes with two matching fiber optic modules (FRITZ!SFP AON with LC/APC bus and FRITZ!SFP GPON with LC/APC bus) for point-to-point gigabit fiber connections. To securely distribute gigabit speeds wirelessly in the home, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is equipped with the new Wi-Fi 6 standard. A 2.5-gigabitLAN connection completes the high-speed equipment.

Innovative Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi AX) for a home network with many Wi-Fi terminal devices

The new Wi-Fi 6 standard takes into account the ever-growing number of Wi-Fi devices. From smartphones, tablets, PCs, 4K TVs and speakers to smart lights, more and more devices are being used simultaneously in the Wi-Fi network. By reducing latency, Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and stable data flow. A total bandwidth of 2,400 Mbit/s is available in the 5GHz band and 600 Mbit/s in the 2.4GHz band for many parallel applications. With these high throughputs, Wi-Fi 6 also provides longer battery life for the mobile devices in the home network.

Strong as a hub in the Mesh Wi-Fi network

As a Wi-Fi Mesh Central, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is prepared for the highest demands in the home network. Distributed Wi-Fi nodes (e.g. FRITZ!Box and multiple FRITZ! Mesh repeaters) are merged in the Mesh Wi Fi network into one smart WiFi network. The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is the hub of the FRITZ! Mesh Wi-Fi network and actively controls all other access points, so that the Wi-Fi end devices used in the home network are always logged on to the access point with the best connection (Mesh Wi-Fi steering).

Telephony options for everyone

The integrated VoIP phone system has a connection for an analog phone and a DECT base station for up to six cordless phones (e.g. all FRITZ!Fon models). Even IP telephones and smartphones become full-fledged phones via Wi-Fi that can be used to make calls on the cable connection. With an integrated answering machine (which also works without a USB connection), local and online telephone directories and numerous convenience functions, telephony - also for professional applications - leaves nothing to be desired. Smarthome devices, such as for example the new FRITZ!DECT 440 quadruple switch or the new FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp, can be integrated via the DECT base station.
