The AT-VM95E is the new entry-level model with an elliptical stylus in Audio-Technica’s lineup and succeeds the legendary AT95E. The cartridge benefits from the technical advancements previously introduced with the AT95EX. Thanks to a redesigned structure, the cartridge features a stiffer, low-resonance housing, which contributes to more accurate sound reproduction. In addition, two integrated threaded inserts allow for easy mounting with just two screws—without the need for nuts—on both a headshell and an integrated tonearm.
The VM95 series with dual moving magnets is designed for long-term use. Thanks to the replaceable stylus system, there is no need to replace the entire cartridge when wear occurs. Simply install a new stylus; users can also choose to upgrade to a different stylus variant within the VM95 series.
The glued elliptical diamond stylus tracks groove variations more accurately than a conical stylus. This improves the frequency and phase response while minimizing distortion. The result is a more detailed and lifelike sound reproduction.
The VM95 series cartridges are equipped with two M2.6 threaded inserts, allowing for installation without nuts. Each cartridge comes with a pair of 8-mm M2.6 screws, a pair of 11-mm M2.6 screws, and two plastic washers, ensuring a simple and secure installation.
