The Shanling Q2 is a compact Hi-Res music player that combines high-quality audio performance with a stylish and minimalist design. As the successor to the popular Q1, the Q2 offers more powerful hardware, an improved user experience, and a surprisingly powerful headphone amplifier in an extremely compact form factor. With its rounded aluminum casing, 2.09-inch touchscreen, and signature touchwheel with haptic feedback, the Q2 is designed for music lovers who want to enjoy high-quality sound anywhere.

Powerful quad-DAC architecture

The Shanling Q2 is equipped with no fewer than four Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips, which together deliver an extremely detailed, dynamic, and natural sound. Thanks to support for Hi-Res audio up to 768 kHz / 32-bit PCM and DSD512, the player gets the most out of high-quality music files. Four digital filter modes also allow you to customize the sound character to your own preferences.

High-Powered Headphone Outputs

Despite its compact size, the Q2 features a powerful built-in headphone amplifier. Via the balanced 4.4 mm output, it delivers up to 425 mW at 32 ohms, providing excellent drive for both sensitive in-ear monitors and demanding over-ear headphones. In addition, the player features a 3.5 mm single-ended output that can also be used as a line-out.

Streaming and Extensive Connectivity

In addition to locally stored music, the Shanling Q2 also supports wireless streaming via Wi-Fi, with support for TIDAL Online, DLNA, and AirPlay. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.2 with support for LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC, the player can both transmit and receive audio. This makes the Q2 not only a portable player, but also a high-quality Bluetooth DAC for smartphones or tablets.

Smart design and intuitive controls

The device is controlled via Shanling’s proprietary MTouch operating system, powered by the powerful Ingenic X2000 processor. The bright touchscreen works in tandem with the signature touchwheel with haptic feedback for fast and intuitive operation. Weighing just 83 grams and measuring 80 × 50 × 13.5 mm, the player fits effortlessly into any pants pocket.

Long battery life and ample storage

The built-in lithium-ion battery provides up to approximately 13.5 hours of playback time, depending on usage. Music is stored on a microSD card with up to 2 TB of storage, so even large Hi-Res music collections can be easily taken on the go. In addition, the Shanling Q2 can be used as a USB DAC or USB transport, making it easy to integrate into a desktop audio setup.
