Shanling ET3
The ET3 is a high-end, more specialized addition to Shanling’s line of top-loading CD players. This model is ideal as a dedicated CD transport when paired with high-quality DACs (digital-to-analog converters). Therefore, an external DAC is required to use the ET3.
At the heart of the device are several powerful components, including the dual-core Ingenic X2000 chip for low latency, the CT7302CL DSD and PCM upscaler, and the Philips SAA7824 servo combined with a Sanyo HD850 CD drive for stable playback.
In addition to USB-A inputs and outputs, the ET3 features I2S, AES/EBU, optical, and coaxial outputs. It also includes Bluetooth 5.0, with support for the aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs. Thanks to dual-band Wi-Fi, DLNA and AirPlay protocols are supported, and with the free Eddict Player app, you can easily control and stream music remotely.
The ET3 has the same dimensions as the EH3 DAC and headphone amplifier and features a 320×290-pixel IPS LCD screen. The aluminum housing is finished with a removable top plate made of tinted tempered glass. The package also includes a power cable and a remote control.
The ET3 was designed to work in conjunction with the EH3 DAC and headphone amplifier. Together, they meet the highest standards for playing CDs and MQA CDs via the I2S connection.
