The Fosi Audio C3 is an advanced gaming sound card and DAC/headphone amplifier designed specifically for competitive gamers and enthusiasts of high-quality game audio. The system combines AI-driven audio technology with hi-fi components to deliver both precise sound localization and detailed sound quality.

One of the C3’s key features is its integrated StepSense™ technology. This deep-learning audio system analyzes sounds in FPS games and automatically amplifies footsteps without unnaturally altering gunshots or ambient sounds. This allows players to locate enemies more quickly and better anticipate movements outside their immediate field of view.

In addition, the C3 features hardware-based 7.1 surround sound processing that reconstructs spatial information to create a wider and deeper soundscape. This allows for more accurate representation of the direction and distance of sounds, which not only offers advantages in competitive gaming but also provides an immersive experience during movies and single-player games.

For voice communication, the C3 uses AI-powered noise cancellation with ultra-low latency. Background sounds such as keyboard clicks and ambient noise are filtered out, while voices remain clear and natural. Processing occurs in real time with a delay of less than 50 milliseconds.

The audio chain is built around high-quality components, including an XMOS XU316 processor, a CS43131 DAC chip, and dual TPA6120 headphone amplifiers. The system supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256 via UAC 2.0, making the C3 ideal for users who demand high-quality music and detailed reproduction.

The headphone output delivers up to 320 mW per channel at 32 ohms and supports headphones with an impedance of 16 to 300 ohms. In addition, the device offers a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 123 dB and extremely low distortion of just 0.0004%, resulting in clear and accurate sound reproduction.

The C3 offers extensive connectivity options, including USB-C, optical and coaxial inputs, a 3.5 mm microphone input, a 3.5 mm headphone output, and RCA outputs for connecting to active speakers or amplifiers. Firmware updates can be performed online via USB-C.

For control and sound tuning, the C3 uses a browser-based configuration system that allows users to easily switch between presets or customize PEQ profiles themselves, without having to install any additional software.
