The DS Audio ST-50 is equipped with a urethane resin cleaning pad that has been specially developed for removing microscopic dust in cleanrooms. Thanks to its exceptional cleaning properties, the material meets the high standards required in such environments. The ST-50 therefore provides extremely effective and safe cleaning of the stylus. Unlike many other stylus cleaners, no excessive pressure is applied to the stylus or the cantilever during cleaning. Cleaning takes place at the tonearm’s preset stylus pressure, minimizing the risk of damage.
The ST-50 is constructed using high-quality materials combined with an innovative design. The housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum, which is carefully polished and then given a nickel finish. Next, the precision-lasered markings and the leather pad are applied. The result is an elegant, high-quality finish that perfectly matches the standards of excellence for which DS Audio is known.
The urethane cleaning gel is also washable and reusable. By gently rinsing the gel surface under running water and then allowing it to dry at room temperature for about thirty minutes, its cleaning properties are fully restored.
