The DS Audio DS-E3 utilizes the third-generation optical cartridge system, the same technology found in DS Audio’s higher-end models. Thanks to this advanced design, the DS-E3 benefits from a higher output voltage, improved channel separation, and extremely accurate signal reproduction. By utilizing separate LED and photodetector components and a beryllium shielding plate, it achieves exceptionally pure and stable reproduction.
Despite its attractive price point, the DS-E3 retains the key benefits of third-generation optical technology. As a result, the lens offers an excellent balance between performance and affordability, making high-quality optical reproduction accessible to a wider audience.
The DS-E3 is equipped with an aluminum cantilever and a solid elliptical diamond stylus. This combination ensures precise tracking and detailed, natural sound reproduction. To optimize production efficiency, the channel separation has been adjusted by 1 dB compared to the other third-generation models, without compromising the characteristic sound quality for which DS Audio is known.
