The Shanling CT90 is a high-end Hi-Fi CD transport designed entirely to deliver the purest digital signal from compact discs. By eliminating unnecessary internal processing and focusing on mechanical and electrical stability, the CT90 offers an exceptionally natural, smooth, and musical listening experience. The unit combines the classic DA11 laser system with the SAA7824 servo, ensuring that CDs are read accurately, mechanical noise is kept to a minimum, and long-term reliability is guaranteed—essential qualities for true audiophile CD playback.

The CT90 supports MOA-CDs and MOA files with three selectable output modes—Full Decoder (4×), Core Decoder (2×), and MOA Source Mode—allowing the output to be precisely tailored to different DACs and achieving optimal sound quality. Thanks to the dedicated CT7302 upsampling chipset, the digital signal can be converted to PCM or DSD before being sent to external DACs via I²S, AES, and coaxial outputs, ensuring ideal signal transfer without loss of detail or dynamics.

A 35W linear power supply of hi-fi quality provides all circuits with stable and clean power, which significantly reduces noise and delivers greater dynamics, clarity, and tonal accuracy. The top-loading mechanism with a precision-tuned CD puck minimizes vibrations and improves rotational stability, while the tilting CD cover allows for smooth and intuitive operation.

In addition to CD playback, the CT90 also supports playback from USB drives up to 2TB in lossless formats, including PCM 768kHz, DSD512, and MQA, giving users easy access to their entire digital music collection. With the Eddict Player app on Android and iOS, users can manage their music library and CD playback from their smartphone, while Shanling’s SyncLink technology ensures seamless and responsive control.
