The Playstream A7 can connect to the internet via either a wired or wireless Wi-Fi connection. The free Advance Playstream app supports popular music services such as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, and Amazon Music. For radio enthusiasts, the Playstream A7 offers access to tens of thousands of internet radio stations via TuneIn, as well as local over-the-air stations via DAB+ and FM. Thanks to AirPlay, Bluetooth, and DLNA, music and podcasts—among other content—can be streamed to the Playstream A7.

Unmatched connectivity

You don’t have to look at the back of a device to appreciate its design. Nevertheless, the PlayStream A7’s design is impressive. A wealth of digital and analog inputs lets you connect everything from a turntable (MM/MC) to a game console—and everything in between. It also features an HDMI ARC input for connecting a TV, allowing you to control the volume with the TV remote. You can even connect two active subwoofers. Additionally, you can connect two pairs of speakers, which can be configured as pairs A, B, or A+B.

An amplifier that transcends its class

A key feature of the Advance Paris is the HIGH BIAS circuit, which allows the amplifier to operate as a Class A amplifier at lower power levels (up to approximately 10% of total power)—which is more than sufficient for normal use. When more power is required, the amplifier seamlessly switches to Class AB. Audiophiles appreciate the subtlety with which music is reproduced in Class A mode. The HIGH BIAS function can be turned on or off via a switch on the rear panel, allowing the user to determine which setting provides the best listening experience in combination with the connected speakers. The Playstream A7 delivers a power output of 2 x 110W into 8 ohms (2 x 180W into 4 ohms), more than enough to drive even the most demanding speakers.

High-Quality Bluetooth Receiver

Advance Paris has been a specialist in this field since the advent of Bluetooth. The PlayStream A7 features a smart innovation: a digital input for an optional Advance Paris X-FTB01 or X-FTB02 Bluetooth receiver. Unlike many other Bluetooth receivers, which are equipped with a relatively simple built-in DAC, the X-FTB01/02 establishes a direct connection (Direct Path) to the high-quality DAC in the amplifier itself. The X-FTB01 is included as standard.

Simple operation

The Playstrean A7 is equipped with Advance Paris’s well-known and highly user-friendly single-button control. With this intuitive control, you can easily adjust the volume, select an input (source), control the bass and treble (with a ByPass option), set the loudness, adjust the balance, and access the setup settings. In addition, there are separate buttons for selecting the analog and digital inputs. A system remote control, which also allows you to save presets for radio stations, is included as standard. To save energy, the amplifier automatically switches to standby mode if no incoming signal is detected for 30 minutes, as required by EU regulations. However, this feature can also be disabled via the setup menu.
