Shanling M7

The M9 is now transcending into a more compact model also featuring the same 5″ Full HD screen, as previously introduced on the M8 and M9 Digital Audio Player. The same wave pattern for a sleek design, which was firstly introduced on the M9, will also be used on the all new Shanling M7 DAP. Shanling’s pursue of quality and performance is directly visible when we look at the specs.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip and Android 10 OS for speed and flexibility with increased performance and app compatibility for the foreseeable future. At the core of the new M7 DAP a ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC is visible, currently the flagship model of the ESS line. This 8-channel DAC is combined with a matching ESS ES9311 voltage regulator and an adapted power circuit from the M9. Looking at output power of the M7 in high gain it is measuring 3.61V at 32Ohm for the single-ended output, which translates to 406 mW. The balanced output almost doubles this with 5.43V at 32Ohm (920 mW).

For Bluetooth the M7 DAP uses a Qualcomm CSR8675 chip which offers the latest Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with support for LDAC, AptX HD, SBC, AAC, and more. The M7 boasts a large internal memory of 128 GB, with 6GB of RAM memory, this should provide enough space for apps and its data. Furthermore a single microSD slot is available for further expansion of its memory.

With portable players battery life is getting increasingly more important and the M7 is here to deliver up to 10 hours in single-ended and 8.5 hours in balanced mode.
