The EM5 is a DAC headphone amplifier equipped with an AKM AK4493EQ DAC which is still extremely popular in Hi-Fi circles, features an embedded Android OS and is equipped with Android Global Lossless Output (AGLO) Technology for superior sound quality. Premium Head-Fi

The EM5 is fitted with a 6.3mm Single-Ended, a 4.4mm Pentaconn and an XLR headphone jack. Internally, the EM5 is built with the best quality semiconductor components available. The headphone amplifier delivers up to 1620mW of output power at an impedance of 32 Ohms. This makes this headphone amplifier suitable for use with premium-grade headphones with a balanced headphone cable that require a bit more power than most amplifiers and Hi-Res music players can deliver.

High-res streaming

The Shanling-implemented AKM DAC handles high-res streams up to 32bit/768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512. The Shanling EM5 can be configured and controlled with a dedicated smartphone app for Android and iOS devices. Stream music using dual-band Wi-Fi with DLNA from your home network, with Airplay or with 2-way Bluetooth from your smartphone.
