KEF KC62 Subwoofer

KEF has developed a compact, great sounding subwoofer for use with the KEF LS50 and KEF LSX loudspeaker systems. This subwoofer has a beautiful design and fits in most interiors. The manufacturer applied innovative, self-developed techniques to keep the subwoofer cabinet as compact as possible, despite it still delivers a stunning bass that you initially should expect from larger subwoofer models.

KEF has developed a dual bass driver that uses a single magnet system. Due to the unique cabinet, driver and feedback system, this subwoofer has a 33% smaller footprint and delivers a fabulous low-frequency response with a 75% reduced total harmonic distortion.

Pure power, maximum control

This KEF KC62 is equipped with a powerful 2x 500W RMS Class D DSP amplifier. This amplifier delivers high power and a perfectly controlled bass. The KC62 can be teamed-up with the optional KEF KW1 to control the subwoofer wirelessly. Whether you want to combine it with a set of KEF speakers or other speaker brands, this KEF subwoofer delivers a perfect performance in any configuration.

The KC62 has five pre-programmed settings which allow you to adapt the subwoofer to any type of room. Whether you place it in an open living space, against a wall, in a corner or in a cupboard, the performance is world-class. Do you live in an apartment or flat? This subwoofer has a special setting allowing you to fully experience entertainment without disturbing the neighbours.

EISA Award Best Hi-Fi Subwoofer 2021-2022

"On rare occasions it’s hard to associate the equipment before you with the sound you’re hearing. Take as an example the amazing KEF KC62 subwoofer – it’s tiny at just 25cm per side, with a pair of drivers just 16.5cm in diameter, and yet this seemingly miraculous speaker delivers massive, fast and tautly controlled bass down to subterranean depths. So the KC62 is so small you can hide it away almost anywhere, but the performance is all down to clever design – the opposed drivers use Uni-Core force cancelling, each powered by a 500W amplifier, all under the control of digital signal processing. Want even more fun? Try using two of them!"
