Bowers & Wilkins HTM71 S3

Our flagship midrange speaker features a Carbon Dome driver in a Tweeter-On-Top enclosure, a 130 mm Continuum-conus FST™ midrange driver (especially important for intelligibility of conversations) and two Aerofoil™ Profile bass cones. The perfect partner for the 705 S3, 703 S3 and 702 S3.

Uncompromising sound

The HTM71 S3 features Tweeter-on-Top technology. This makes it excellent for integration with similar 700-Series models in a surround sound system.

A home for high frequencies

The 700-Series features the latest generation of the iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure. The new, more elongated shape incorporates a longer tube loading system to produce an even freer and more open high-frequency sound. The carefully decoupled enclosure is milled from a single solid block of aluminum to better resist resonance.

Sharper details

Carbon Dome tweeters are made specifically for the 700 Series. These tweeters are a significant improvement over the aluminum double dome tweeter with a break-up ceiling of 47 kHz for accurate and detailed sound quality.

Truly stunning sound

Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions that can affect the performance of a traditional driver. The result is a more open, neutral reproduction that conveys voices and instruments with precision and transparency.

Loud and clear

Each three-way speaker in the new 700 Series features a dedicated midrange cone, equipped with four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and decoupled midrange. The latter ensures minimal distortion from the bass drivers.

A triumph of science

Developed using advanced computer modeling, the Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone has variable thickness. This makes it sturdy in the areas where it is needed most. The result: deep and dynamic bass sound.
