FIIO FH19

Three years ago, FIIO launched the FH9, their first high-end flagship hybrid earphone. With its dynamic sound, expansive soundstage, and refined audio quality, it was met with enthusiasm by HiFi users around the world. Over time, it earned a reputation among audiophiles as an exemplary "balanced earphone," surpassing expectations in popularity. Even today, it remains a strong contender in the market.

Now, FIIO introduces the FH19, a significant upgrade shaped by user feedback. It retains the signature sound and craftsmanship of the FH9 while benefiting from a collaboration with Tokyo Onkyo Ltd. in Japan and Knowles in the USA. The FH19 features a high-end acoustic design, offering a richer midrange and a more robust, yet flexible, bass. The fit has also been optimized, providing exceptional comfort, based on human ear characteristics.

In partnership with Tokyo Onkyo Co. Ltd., FIIO developed a push-pull dual dynamic driver unit for the FH19, inspired by high-end audio technology. This design uses two 13.7mm high-magnetic dynamic drivers with PU+DLC composite diaphragms, positioned in an opposing arrangement. When the diaphragms move, the drivers' motion remains consistent in phase, doubling the driving force and providing air damping. This leads to more stable diaphragm movement and effectively suppresses residual sound after the audio signal ceases.

Compared to conventional dynamic drivers, the push-pull dual dynamic drivers achieve the target sound pressure level with half the amplitude, minimizing diaphragm displacement and improving linear performance. This reduces intermodulation distortion, resulting in cleaner sound reproduction.

For mid and high frequencies, the FH19 is equipped with six Knowles balanced armature drivers. To enhance vocal quality, FIIO worked with Knowles to create a custom mid-frequency balanced armature driver. By adding acoustic vents to the rear cavity, the mid-frequency driver gains more sound energy, delivering rich and lifelike vocals that feel as if the singer is right beside you.

The build quality of the FH19 reflects its flagship status, highlighted by a titanium midframe. The titanium's luxurious texture and distinctive color exude a high-end aesthetic. Being the most touched part of the earphones, the midframe's rigidity and corrosion resistance ensure durability, protecting the earphones from daily wear and tear, truly embodying the essence of a flagship product.

Crafted from 7000 series aluminum, the FH19 offers both strength and durability while reducing weight, ensuring a comfortable fit despite its complex acoustic design and additional drivers.

To optimize performance, the FH19 utilizes a suspended voice coil design, where the coil leads are routed from beneath the diaphragm, allowing them to float within the gap. This design minimizes unwanted contact and adhesive load, ensuring smooth diaphragm movement, free from interference, and fully unlocking the diaphragm’s potential.

The FH19 comes with a high-purity pure silver cable as standard. Each of its 8 strands contains 28 wires, totaling 224 wires, all insulated with enamel and braided in a Litz configuration. The outer sheath is made from imported eco-friendly TPU, offering a clear appearance while preventing the cable from yellowing over time or stiffening in cold conditions.
