Denon builds on a long tradition in the development of CD players and, as one of the founding members of digital audio, is one of the most influential brand names in the Hi-Fi industry. Despite the introduction of highres streaming audio, Denon never stopped building and developing Super Audio CD players. This Denon DCD-1600NE CD player answers to the high build and sound quality for which Denon is known for many years.

The DCD-1600NE is fitted with a resonance dampening Direct Mechanical Ground-construction chassis and is built with separate boards for power supply, control and signal processing. For the best possible sound quality Denon equipped this player with an in-house developed drive, kept the signal paths as short as possible and uses both high-grade capacitors and semiconductors. With this Denon DCD-1600NE SACD player you can play Super Audio CD’s, entire CD collection and CDs with DSD, WAV, WMA, ALAC and MP3 files. Connect the DCD-1600NE either through the analog line output or connect it through the coaxial digital output to a DAC or amplifier with built-in DAC chip.

Tried and tested

This player features Denon's DAC Master Clock Design. This highly accurate clock circuit ensures a jitter-free conversion of digital data streams. Converting the normal 16-bit CD format is done through Denon's advanced AL32 processing technology. This is directly derived from Denon's legendary 20-bit Alpha processing from the heyday of the medium and has been substantially refined over the past decades.

Analog performance

The Advanced AL32 Processing Plus widens the original 16 bit width to 32 bits by interpolation and provides a significantly lower quantification noise. The digital to analogue conversion is handled by a 32-bit PCM1795 DAC chip at a high-res sampling frequency of 192kHz. These Burr Brown DA converters are one of the most sophisticated DA converters in the Hi-Fi industry. These converters offer a high dynamic range, low noise, a neutral frequency response and allow a most detailed and undistorted music playback.
